With the nights drawing in, the barge will soon be laying up for the winter and assuming her alternative role as Tea Room and evening venue.
The Tea Room will now be open an extra day, Thursday to Sunday, providing even more opportunity to sample the delicious home made cake. Light lunches are also served throughout the day and the coal fire will be well stoked to keep the barge cosy.
The winter events schedule is now also coming together, with the Acoustic Architects welcomed back and playing aboard on Friday 28th October (Tickets £10, email or call to book) and quality folk band ‘Los Salvadores’ playing in early December.
Following Melissa’s win at Southend, Edith May found herself in 3rd place with Repertor right behind. Edme was leading and needing only to finish the match in the top three to secure her place. Points are awarded for starting first in class and fastest start overall, first to outer mark and for seamanship, as well as 3 points for a win, two for second and one point for third.
The sail over on Saturday was punctuated with rainy squalls, typical bank holiday weather, but was enjoyable nonetheless.
